It's been a long time coming and it's finally here. Nested media folders are now available.
What's new
You can now nest media folders in your Bucket and in the media picker, including Object metafields, thumbnails, and anywhere else you select media.
On the media page, open a folder and its subfolders show first, then the files saved in that folder. In the media picker, those subfolders stay in the folder list on the left. Deleting a folder moves its subfolders up one level. Files that were in the deleted folder stay in your library.
What has not changed
Folders you already have stay at the top level, and existing folder queries keep working. A folder slug is unique in the Bucket, so you query media with that slug.
Getting started
Nested media folders are available now on all accounts and plans. You can nest folders up to 3 levels deep, and you can still query media by the folder slug in the API. Try it today and let us know what you think!
